Boot Purchase Terms & Conditions
1. Company Information
The Boot Chamber is a UK-based retailer specialising in authentic vintage and retro football boots.
Trading name: The Boot Chamber
Email: info@thebootchamber.com
Registered address: 128 City Rd, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom
Company number: 12861002
2. Products & Condition of Sale
Our products are primarily vintage or retro football boots. Due to their age, materials may naturally degrade over time.
All boots are therefore sold strictly as collectors’ items, not intended for active sporting use. Any decision to wear them is entirely at the buyer’s own risk. We cannot guarantee their performance, safety, or durability if used for playing football or training.
We expressly advise against wearing any football boots manufactured more than five (5) years ago, as their condition may be compromised by age.
Any conversions (e.g., stud changes, soleplate alterations) and accessories (e.g., grip socks, shin pads) are non-refundable and also worn or used at the buyer’s own risk.
Any modification requested by the buyer (e.g., stud conversions) voids the right to return or exchange, even if the item remains unworn.
3. Authenticity Guarantee
We guarantee that all boots sold are authentic. Every pair is thoroughly checked before sale.
Counterfeit goods are never knowingly sold. If an item were proven to be counterfeit, a full refund would be provided.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices displayed on our website are shown in the customer’s local currency, automatically converted by Shopify based on location. The base currency of The Boot Chamber is GBP (£), but final prices may vary according to exchange rates and applicable fees at the time of purchase.
We accept the following payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Shop Pay, and UnionPay.
Payment is taken at the time of order.
Use of Klarna is subject to Klarna’s own terms and conditions. The Boot Chamber is not responsible for any financing agreements entered into via Klarna.
5. Delivery & Shipping
We ship worldwide. Delivery times vary depending on location and courier service.
Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed.
Customers outside the UK are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs charges. Refusal to pay such charges that results in the order being returned will be treated as a return, and shipping costs are non-refundable.
We are not liable for delays caused by couriers, customs, or events beyond our control.
6. Returns & Refunds
We accept returns of unworn items within 14 days of delivery. Returned items must be in their original condition.
For full details on our returns process, please see our Refund Policy: https://thebootchamber.com/policies/refund-policy
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
7. Safety Notice
While boots are sold in good faith, some may not meet modern safety standards due to their age. By purchasing, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
We expressly advise that football boots manufactured over five (5) years ago should not be worn for playing purposes.
We accept no liability for injuries, accidents, or damage arising from the use of vintage boots or converted products.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Boot Chamber shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the price paid for the product in question.
9. Force Majeure
The Boot Chamber shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, labour disputes, natural disasters, transport disruption, pandemics, or governmental restrictions.
10. Updates to Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time. The version in place at the time of purchase will apply.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
